 THE APPROACH

WIN – Win lost souls for Christ.

TRAIN – Train and equip them.

SEND – Send them to win others.

 Our Core Values

Integrity (The Word of God)

We believe in raising people of character with good virtue. The word of God is the same as God and the word of God we preach is implanted in our hearts for us to live and become exactly as the word is.

People

People are the most important thing to God. We are committed to building healthy relationships and valuing people just as God values them in love and compassion.

Leadership

Leadership is not only reserved for the elite few, a specific gender or people. It is not a product of a DNA or a super race. At Fountain of Souls Ministries International, we believe that everyone is a born leader and it is our passion to ignite that conviction in our members.

Growth

We are committed and passionate about the spiritual, social and financial growth of our members. By worshipping together at weekly church services, studying and quality teaching of God’s word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, prayer and modeling Christ, we believe our growth and progress in life is assured. We also understand the positive impact tithing, offering and seed sowing has to further the propagation of the Gospel.

Excellence

We focus on quality and distinction in all that we do. With a strong work ethic, we put in our best efforts in our respective roles to contribute to an environment that pleases God.

Statement of Faith

Explanation and statement of Biblical Authority

This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of church doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our governing board (pastor and elders comprising the doctrinal committee) is the church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application. We do believe, however, that the Statement of Faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible and, therefore, is binding upon all members.

The Bible

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are verbally and plenary inspired; that they contain truth without any mixture or error in the autographs; that they are infallible and inerrant in all matters of which they speak; and that they constitute God’s complete revelation and are the sole authority for faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe that there is one God existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, one in essence, co-eternal and co-equal in every divine attribute. (Deut. 6:4; John 4:24; Psalms 90:1-2; James 1:17; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19).

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, being 100% God and 100% man, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death, arose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, now intercedes for believers and will come again in the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial appearing. (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18-25; Hebrews 9:26-28; Luke 24:5-7, 36-40; Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 5:1-10; 1 John 2:1-2; Hebrews 1:1-10).

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the person in the Godhead who restrains evil, convicts of sin, bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony, is the agent in the new birth, indwells the believer, baptizes into the Body of Christ, and fills believers for spiritual service. We believe in the Apostolic gifts such as tongues, healing, miracles, signs and wonders; and that they are still part of today for anyone who believes. (John 15:26; John 16:7-11; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18; Mark 16: 15 – 18).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith (demonstrated through repentance of sin), in Christ. This is based on the finished work of Christ, by which Christ fully satisfied the just demands of a holy and righteous God; and that believers are kept by the power of God and that the mark of genuine salvation is their perseverance in faith, to the end. (Romans 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 6:23; Titus 3:5; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9, 10-13; John 3:16; John 10:27-29; 1 John 5:1).

 Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is positional in that one is established in a position of holiness at the moment he trusts Christ as Savior; that it is a process as the Holy Spirit applies the Word of God to the believer. (1 Thessalonians 4:3; 5:23; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Ephesians 1:4-6; Proverbs 4:18; Hebrews 6:1; 2 Peter 1:5-8; 1 John 2:29; Philippians 2:12-13; Ephesians 6:18)

The Church

We believe in the church as a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head; and of which all Christians are a part; that the church is peculiar to the dispensation age of grace; that the local church is a group of believers associated for the purpose of glorifying God through worship, instruction, fellowship and evangelism; that local churches have the absolute right to self-government free from interference of any hierarchy; that its only Scriptural officers are Pastor(s) (also called “Elder(s)” and/or “Bishop(s)”) and Deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are defined in the Epistles to Timothy and Titus; that every believer should align himself with a local church and give full cooperation and participation to its ministries. (Matthew 16:16-18; 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 1:1-13; 11:2; 23-34; Acts 5:11; 8:1; 11:21-23; Philippians 1:1; Acts 14:23; 15:22; 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1; Acts 20:17, 28) (Colossians 1:18; Matthew 16:18 – 19; Ephesians 5: 23).

The Ordinances

We believe that there are two ordinances for the local church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion); that baptism is by single immersion in water for believers, which is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; and is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership. We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross and is to be performed only under the authority of the local church. (Acts 8:36-39; Matthew 3:5-6; 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 2:41-42, 1 Corinthians 11:26-28).

 The Great Commission

We believe that the Great Commission is a divine commandment for the church, and as such primarily involves evangelism, discipleship and church planting. We also believe that the fulfillment of the Great Commission is the primary purpose, mission and goal for every church. (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 24: 46-48; John 17:18; 20:21; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 15:6)

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe in the pre-tribulation and pre-millennial return of Christ; that after the rapture of the church there will be seven years of tribulation on earth; that this will be followed by the personal visible return of Christ to put down His enemies and set up a thousand years millennial reign; that at the end of this reign, Satan will be loosed for a season and then cast into the lake of fire, that at this time the second resurrection for all unsaved will take place; that they will be judged at the Great White Throne and will be condemned to eternal torment in the lake of fire; that Christ will reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords with the righteous eternally. (Matthew 28:6-7; Mark 16:19; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:20-58; Matthew 24:21, 22; Revelation 7:14; Luke 1:32; Isaiah 9:6, 7; Revelation 20:11-15; 2 Corinthians 4:17; Hebrews 12:23; Revelation 21 – 22.)

Marriage & Sexuality

We believe that term “marriage” has only one meaning; that is, marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:24-25)

We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. (Leviticus 18, 20)

We believe that any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication,

homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God.

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, should abide by and agree to this statement on Marriage & Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly.

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of the church.
