The Audacity of Faith

Mark 11:12 – 25; Romans 4:17

Faith is born when knowledge (The Word) is revealed. Faith is powerless without knowledge. The goal and mission of the devil is to constantly prevent you from getting knowledge. You cannot exercise your faith on something you are ignorant about. This is the reason why we struggle and suffer like the unbelievers. (Hosea 4:6).

God kind of faith is that faith that gives you the audacity to rule and take charge of your domain. It is the faith that makes you speak like a King and a Priest. (1 Peter 2:9). It is the kind of faith that gives you the audacity to make declarations and decrees based on the revelation of who you are.

With this kind of faith, you no longer talk nor behave as a child. This time you know your rights and privileges.

To have the God kind of faith, you need to understand who you are; what authorities you have.

To operate in this kind of faith requires the following:

Putting away childish things

(1 Corinthians 13:11)

Children live in fear. They request others to pray for them. They depend on the faith of their parents. Children do not take responsibilities. They blame others for their failures.

Understand your Purpose; Who you are, and Whose you are.

You are made to rule, lead, take charge, and dominate the world. (Genesis 1:26, 28).

  • You are one with Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17)
  • You are the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27)
  • You seated with Christ in Heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
  • You are an adopted Son (Ephesians 1:5).

God’s purpose and destiny for His chosen is that they would enjoy adoption as sons. God’s unfolding plan for us not only includes salvation and personal transformation, but also a warm, confident relationship with Him – the Father. (Read Romans 5: 1-2).

In Roman law, when the adoption is complete, it is complete indeed. The person who had been adopted had all the rights and privileges of legitimate Son in his new family and completely lost all the rights in his old family. In the eyes of the law, he was a new person. So new was he that even all the debts and obligations connected with his previous family were abolished as if they had never existed. (Read Romans 8:17).

Christ is the price paid for our adoption from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God. But in this case, we are not adopted; we are born into the kingdom of God (2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 1:12-13).

It is the complete knowledge of who you are that gives you that audacity to claim what rightfully belongs to you.

God’s purpose for man on earth:

  • Dominion and rulership
  • Wealth and Abundance
  • Good health

Because we constantly find ourselves outside of God’s purpose for our lives, we live in apprehension.

Know your Privileges, Authorities and Rights

  • His divine power has given you all thing – All things are yours:

(2 Peter 1:3; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:21).

  • Signs and wonders follow you (Mark 16:15-18).
  • No weapon forms against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
  • You are the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27; Romans 12:4-5).
  • Authority over all the earth (Luke 10: 19; Luke 9:1; James 4:7)
  • Greater is He who is in you (1 John 4:4).

You cannot make decrees and declarations if you do not know that you have the rights to.

The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation

(Ephesians 1:17)

A revelation is the power of God released from the knowledge of God’s word. When revelation is given, knowledge ceases to be ordinary but complete and real to you. Revelation of the Word means the Word becoming flesh in you. (John 1:14).

Revelation empowers your knowledge and brings it to reality.

You must always and constantly work with God

Walking with God consistently ensures that you remain connected to the source of faith. Walking with God guarantees that you maintain and use all your rights and privileges. God still speaks in the now. Walking with Him, by the Holy Spirit ensures we download updated version of His memo for our lives.

When we walk with the Lord we draw closer to the Lord with all our heart. He becomes our focus. Our hearts longs for Him. Our heart seeks His presence. Our desire to have fellowship with Christ and be like Him will grow while our worldly desires will decrease.

Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 1:1-4; Genesis 6:9; Hebrews 12: 1; Zechariah 3:7; Job 22:21; Galatians 5:16; Micah 6:8; Deuteronomy 6:8; Ephesians 2:10; 2Chronicles 7:17-18.

In summary, faith cannot function outside God’s purpose for your life. Faith cannot function outside God’s will. Faith cannot function outside God’s word.
